Hanmathane PPDI based TPU are ability to deliver high performance under extreme conditions, where heat resistance, chemical resistance and superior dynamic mechanic properties are required, is enabled by PPDI (p-phenylene diisocyanate) that imparts exceptional properties to polyurethane elastomers. Applications requiring cut and tear strength, compression set, and abrasion resistance benefit from using Hanmathane TPUs.
Hanmathane PPDI based TPU are designed to meet the most demanding applications in the oil & gas, mining and construction industries – including seals, pumps and valves, and mining screens – where improved performance and extended life of TPU components that can not be served by standard TPUs based on TDI or MDI.
Hanmathane TPU are offered as chips with an average size of 5-8 mm and its hardness between shore 85-95 A. Besides the standard products listed below, the custom-made polyurethane materials are available with specific properties upon request.
Features of Hanmathane PPDI Based TPU include:
♦ High temperature service ,130-150℃
♦ Low compression set
♦ High dynamic load, lower heat buildup
♦ High wear-resistance for extended application lifetime
♦ Excellent bayshore resilience
♦ High tensile/Tear strength

Recommended Processing Conditions
1.Drying conditions: 110 °C in a forced air oven for 6-8 hours (water content < 0.02%).
2.Injection Molding: due to high melt viscosity, it is suggested that the screw aspect ratio (L/D) is set as 16-20:1 and compression ratio is set at 2.0-2.5:1 (< 4:1).
